Advice & Safety
For a perfect stay
- Arrive early at the meeting points indicated on your lesson card.
 - Ski passes are not included in the price of the lessons and are compulsory for group lessons and private lessons (children taking lessons in the kindergarten do not need a ski pass).
 - Please take out insurance, as first aid can be costly and students are not insured by the esf.
 - Check the weather forecast and information about the slopes (opening, closing, etc.).
 - Obtain and keep a piste map.
 - Equip yourself with suitable, well-maintained and well-adjusted equipment, which is not included in our services.
 - Protect yourself: helmet, gloves, goggles.
 - Like any sport, skiing can't be improvised. Learn the technique.
 - Off-piste: don't set off without being informed (avalanche risk, itinerary) or accompanied by a mountain professional.
 - Physical preparation and warm-up: measure your effort and ski at your own level.
 - Stay hydrated and eat a balanced diet when you're working out at altitude, in the sun and in the cold (protect yourself with sun cream).
 - On the ski lifts, observe the rules posted at the start of the facilities and follow the advice below.
 - Smile, relax, you're on holiday. The mountains are so beautiful.

For your child's well-being
- Children must come to lessons equipped (skis, boots and helmet).
 - Dress them warmly: anorak, gloves, goggles, handkerchief, sun cream... and we strongly recommend that they wear a helmet from the outset to help them develop good habits!
 - Pack a snack to slip into your child's pocket for the Pioupiou and Ourson levels.
 - To make our teaching easier, avoid staying on the outskirts of the kindergarten, as children behave differently when they see their parents.
 - Leave your contact details in their pocket, especially for the pioupiou and Ourson classes.
 - Respect their pace of progress. Avoid taking them on slopes that are too steep, especially if they are snow ploughing. You could hinder their progress and put them in difficulty.
 - Always be positive and reward your child's progress.

On ski lifts, follow 5 safety principles
- Remove wrist straps! They could get stuck on the pole.
 - Don't slalom and hold on to the pole until you reach the finish! You risk derailing the cable and injuring those who are going upwards.
 - If you fall, don't push! Let go of the pole and quickly clear the runway.
 - At the finish, drop the pole where indicated! If you overshoot the finish, you'll trigger the automatic stop.
 - Clear the arrival area promptly! A pole could hit your head.
